Goal scorers: Issac Everett x2, Jack Gage x4, Ross Bray, Josh Everett

Man of the match: Jack Gage

Attendance: 12

After last week’s defeat, Elmsett knew they needed to get back to winning ways as soon as possible. They immediately put Ipswich Rangers under pressure and were rewarded with a penalty which Isaac Everett converted with ease.

Elmsett didn’t settle for their lead and continued to create chance after chance. The advantage was eventually doubled as Gage poked in from close range after good work from Isaac Everett down the left.

The second half began with the manager’s tactical change immediately working as Gage headed home from Tampion’s inch perfect cross. Soon after, Ross Bray spotted the keeper off his line and took full advantage as he executed his lob exquisitely from 30 yards out.

United’s passing had become much faster and slicker. A wonderful flowing move was finished by Josh Everett with an emphatic header. Shortly after, Gage extended the lead even further and completed his hat trick with a smart finish.

The away side were completely on top and Ryan Bray should have added a seventh as he broke from midfield but basically tripped over the ball as he tried to score.

Gage then showed the younger Bray how it should be done as he grabbed his fourth of the game. Finally, Isaac Everett rounded off the scoring with a powerful effort past the keeper.

So 8 goals, a clean sheet and no cards made it a very good day at the office for Elmsett who welcome Amboed United to The Shed next week.
